Alannah Hill...I DIE!

Every single time I walk into the Alannah Hill boutique ( Howey Place, Melbourne store) I feel like I've travelled to another land. A land where one is surrounded by beauty, where one can only smell the scent of roses and where one can hear birds singing their songs of love.

I must be honest and say that I am not your typical Alannah Hill customer, I'm not really into girly, and frilly and flowery. However I am into lady-like, lace, lots of lace, sexiness, femininity, delicateness and prettiness.

My idea was to create a style page with all the items I adored in the store, unfortunately they were not available to view online. I did though get captivated by the website. Please click on this link to see what I'm talking about.

Some of the looks I adored:

There were a pair of cream coloured - lace - bootie like heels that I'm in love with. I'm also really feeling big bows as hair accessories, there were some nice ones in store at Alannah Hill.

INCREDIBLE!!!

...photo journalling. Made into a video. With music. Just genius!

What makes it even more genius, is that I love Mount Kimbie and this track is one of my favourites.

Just live in the moment

Maybe you're wondering... what do we do for fun??

We spend time with our friends, naturally.   :)

Also... just FYI ( For Your Information)... I'm on a dvd mission. Definition of a dvd mission: To watch as many dvds I can in the next umm...in the next forever... just until I run out of films. Some awesome films I've watched:

The Duchess...love love love the costumes (mainly Georgiana's)

How to Marry a Millionaire....Marilyn Monroe (she's just gorgeous in this)

A Single Man.... great great film, good job Tom Ford.

I only just finished watching A Single Man. I asked my Facebook friends a question and nobody took it seriously, they just liked the status. My question was: "question to the world....if filing 'a single man' should i file under 's' or 'a'"

I needed to know this because I keep a film journal ( i also keep a book journal), remember I mentioned to you about journalling. Well my film journal includes, the title, the director, the cast, when/ where/ with whom i saw the film, favourite quotes, what i thought about the film, and anything else that i think important to make note of, lately I seem to be commenting on the 'hotness' factor of the male actors, HAHA.

Some quotes I liked from A Single Man...

- Just live in the moment

- Experience is not what happens to a man, it's what a man does with what happens to him.

A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I have lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present, and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be.

FOTO FRIDAY!

Yep! It's that time of the week again!

Hope you enjoy this weeks compilation. The first part is my adventures with Woody. My brother and I were shopping in Coles and saw him sitting, all lonely, in the chips aisle, so we decided to take him out with us.

The rest are just random. There are more pictures of food...I bet you're already drooling...I'm right aren't I?...Hope you like them :)

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that's holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave."

Butter meets Spoon

Sometimes... I also like to make mini-videos.

How I explain this video is...umm..you know when you see something that's perfect..and you just get the urge to destroy it...yes. I was at dinner with my sister, and I noticed the butter just sitting there so perfect and buttery...i just couldn't help myself!

Enjoy!

ps. the song you hear is: The Black Keys - Tighten Up

Responding to Random Add's

Have you ever had a Facebook friend request...and it's not from an actual friend?

You're all saying yes?? Of course you have!

There are lots of 'friendly' people out there...most of them are loonies. I have some rules regarding Facebook friends adds, well ...one mainly....DON'T ADD PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW...but do have some fun with them before hitting the 'ignore' button...

Photo Journalling...???

Have you heard of photo journalling before?

If you have then great, it you haven't, then that's great too, because I'll tell you. It's not really that technical, it just means get out your camera, be it a disposable, digital, phone camera, polaroid ( I think this is the most fun one)...etc... and just snap whatever you feel like remembering from that day.

I'm quite big on journalling, I think it's really important for many reasons. I wont go into it in too much detail for now, but there will be bits and pieces about journalling in posts to come. (I'll label the post with "Journal" so in the future you can search my blog using the word "Journal" and every time I've written about a different idea, it'll pop up for you to read!)

My photo-journal below is only for one day...Sunday. You can do a whole weeks worth if you like. You can use analogies like taking a photo of a kitchen cluttered with dishes and cups to signify chaos, or an organised wardrobe to show clarity. It's a personal thing so it's totally up to you.

FOTO FRIDAY !

Hi Lovers!

Introducing....Foto Friday!

Every Friday I will share with you, all of the photos that I take with my iPhone.

I have mentioned in my previous post that I take a lot of pictures of food, I also take pictures of a lot of other things. Like; my friends, things that I like, random things that inspire me, things that I want to remember, books that I want to read, quotes that I like....and many, many other things.

Hope you enjoy them! :D

one
one:   'Shake it like a Polaroid picture...' in this case like an Instax one! My friends Instax camera, similar
to a Polaroid. We'd  just arrived in Sydney and were waiting for the train.

two
two: An awesome bar in Sydney. Dr Pong, (that's the name of the bar) they had a PingPong table
infront of the bar, luxurious Molton Brown handwash and lotion in the bathrooms and an amazing
         band playing.

three
three: My friends yummy hot chocolate from a French Cafe in the heart of Sydney.

four
four: Yummy chicken baguette from the same French Cafe as the hot chocolate.

five
five: Cool grass green couch in the Diesel store in Sydney. You can bet your dollars we chilled on it for
         a bit.

six
six: Still in the Diesel store in Sydney, love the rug.

seven
seven: Got so excited when I saw this, Halston dress, the same as Carrie wore in Sex & the City II.

eight
eight: Mocha time at Max Brenner.

nine
nine: Loved the look of this purple, glass water bottle. At dinner, in Sydney.

ten
ten: My darling friend Jess, decided to wear Paul's knit top as pants. It actually looked pretty good!

eleven
eleven: This was taken in a store in Sydney ( I think it was Willow). It's the top of the sale counter. I
was looking for inspiration for table decoration for my Birthday Tea Party. ( Actually ended up
             doing something very similar.)

twelve
twelve: Bought these Lapiz Lazuli earrings at the Paddington Market in Sydney.

thirteen
thirteen: Fashion TV playing in the foyer of our hotel = super cool .

fourteen
fourteen: I love coffee, especially this one. Very clever barista. I was reading Live Laugh Love.

fifteen
fifteen: Nandos Supremo Chicken Burger with cheese and onion. NOM NOM NOm.

sixteen
sixteen: Can't quite remember what this is of, love how it looks though.

seventeen
seventeen: Peanut MnMs, my favourites. At this time my friend Andrew was constantly eating them.
They were on sale at Safeway for like $2. I remember eating half a packet for breakfast each
day until they were all gone. :p
eighteen
eighteen: Harajuku Lovers Fragrance by the very lovely Gwen. Love is my favourite scent.

nineteen
nineteen: My desk area, this is where I blog and do other desk type stuff. Looks a lot different now.

twenty
 twenty: My yummy chicken risotto.

twenty-one
twenty-one: My friends dinner, Spaghetti Marinara

twenty-two
twenty-two: foto fail, can you see some yellow in the background? My friend Jack ( or Jacques, as I call
him) had a Drag Queen dressed as Lady Gaga, who performed at his 21st Birthday Party. It was a lot of fun.
